Common questions
Is this suitable for sensitive skin?
We'd rather you decide than take our word for it, so: the full INCI list is on this page, all of it. This serum contains Parfum, plus the declared allergens geraniol, citronellol, linalool and citral, and geranium flower oil. If fragrance is your trigger, don't buy this one — buy the Overnight Cream, which has none of those. Patch-test either.
How long until I see results?
Honest answer: we don't have a clinical trial on this formula, so any number we gave you would be invented. The best-studied retinol alternative, bakuchiol, was measured at 12 weeks in a randomised trial — that's the benchmark we hold ourselves to, and we've written that study up in full on our journal. Judge us at 12 weeks.
Can I use this with other active ingredients?
Most routines, yes — there's no retinoid in this formula, so the classic retinol conflicts don't apply. If you use a prescription retinoid or anything a dermatologist put you on, ask them before layering. We'd rather you asked than guessed.
Is this the same as bakuchiol?
No. Bakuchiol is the usual answer when someone asks for a retinol alternative. Bidens Pilosa is a different plant extract with a different profile. We wrote a full comparison on our journal, including where the evidence for each one is thinner than brands tend to admit.
What does COSMOS NATURAL certified mean?
It means someone independent checked, not that we said so. ECOCERT Greenlife audits the formula against the COSMOS standard: where the ingredients come from, how they're processed, and what's permitted in the formula at all. For this serum that audit came back at 99% natural origin and 24% organic. The certificate is held by Selfnamed, who manufacture our formulas.
What is your return policy?
Thirty days from delivery. Return shipping is on you unless the item arrived damaged or we sent the wrong thing — we would rather say that plainly than call it hassle-free and let you discover otherwise at the post office. Sealed products that have been opened are exempt for hygiene reasons, which is standard for cosmetics.
